Palo Santo wood is harvested under government supervision by the natives of the Peruvian jungle. Palo Santo trees often drop their twigs and branches and the wood is collected from the ground.
No trees are destroyed in the collection of our wood.
Sweet Palo Santo wood, aka Holy wood, has been used since ancient times by the Incas as a spiritual remedy for purifying and cleansing. It is said to cleanse a space of negative energies. Also used to cauterizing the wound created from cutting bindings or cords created by ancient woundings or curses, and, to heal the wound after replacing Archetypes within a Chakra.
In the ethno-botanical systems of the Andean Peoples Palo Santo is also used: as an insect repellent,
as a feline stimulant (similar to catnip), for colds, asthma, allergies, stress, anxiety,
sea sickness, migraine, arthritis, neck aces, meditation and relaxation.
The Sticks can be lit alone as is and will burn for a few seconds to a minute or so and extinguish themselves, filling a space with a sweet warm fragrance. Never leave burning or smoldering Palo Santo wood unattended.

Palo Santo Essential Oil has a fresh, intense woody aroma with a slight hint of citrus.
Description:
The tree of Palo Santo is originally from the dry tropical forests on the coast of the South Pacific, Ecuador being the main country where this tree is found. The Palo Santo Oil is only concentrated and deposited in the interior of the tree trunk. It can takes up to 10 years to produce the oil and to get concentrated in their trunk. Only tree branches that fall naturally from the ground are used to make this oil. The average life of the tree of Palo Santo is between 80 and 90 years.
History:
The natives in Ecuador, Peru and Chile have used it in ancestral rituals where shamans use this oil to clear bad energy from the bodies, to perfume their homes and to protect themselves from disease carrying insects (mosquito).
Common Uses:
Palo Santo Essential Oil can generate states of calmness and relaxation and is beneficial for meditation, concentration, and for enhancing creativity and learning. In spiritual aromatherapy, it can be used as perfume to release negative energy and to purify and cleanse the spirit.
